Fraoch

6/10

Heather ale?!

I didn’t know what to expect from this. It’s a Scottish beer that’s a pretty old recipe by the sounds of the label: “Scotland original craft ale”.

The recipe for Fraoch has been brewed in Scotland for over 4,000 years! Now that’s a bit of history I bet you didn’t expect to learn.

I love it when a beer has a deep history. I like to imagine the old brewers storing a big cauldron of frothy beer.

Light amber ale with floral aroma and spicy herbal finish

The floral aftertaste is a bit odd at first. I’m sure you’ll get used to it. The spice is nice, especially if you’re enjoying Fraoch on a cold winter night like me.
