A very nice, well rounded ale. Says it’s fruity on the bottle but it wasn’t overpowering, just made a very tasty bitter. Brewed in the Cotswolds since 1849.
The bottle has a great story about the old brewer, James Clarke, who loved brewing beer so much that he knocked down his own home to build a brewery. The Hook Norton brewery still calls it home today. I wonder what his wife said…
